New tubular lug for US railroad motors
ASK POWER has developed a special tubular lug for traction motors, intended to replace competing lugs made from cast copper.
In addition to recurring quality and conductivity problems due to porosity and bad metallurgy, castings are also very expensive, especially in small series.
ASK POWER's prices were competitive enough to draw the attention of the General Electric Transport Group. This could be a strategic product to enter the US rail market. Both markets are growing well, thanks to infrastructure spending on the modernization of the North American network.
